Mini Toolbar Word, Excel and PowerPoint
To access the mini toolbar simply right click a cell in Excel or right click on selected text in Word or PowerPoint. In addition to the shortcut menu you will see a mini toolbar where you can select one of the common formatting commands.
I just had a really strange problem with the AxtiveX Control that I had in a Form. The controls suddenly stopped working and in addition I was not able to delete and insert a new control. If you have the same problem here is the quickest way to solve it.
Start Windows/File Explorer
Select the system drive (usually C:)
Use the Search box to search for *.exd
Delete all the found files
Check your Data Entries in Excel Spreadsheets
If you wish to check your data you can either asked someone to read the hard copy while you check the screen or you can check the data by keep looking up and down between the hard copy and the screen. Import Currency Format
Often I get asked how to import the currency format from Excel to Word as a straight forward mail-merge import loses the formatting. The formatting is carried out within Word by formatting the field within the document. The three currency fields in this example do not have the £ symbol and do not have two decimal places.
You can display the field codes by clicking the Preview Results command on the Mailing ribbon tab.
Now right click on the field code you wish to format
Select Toggle Field Codes
Place your insertion point at the end of the code but before the }
Type \# £##,00
note the space before and after \#
